Founded by Shawn Thomas, a veteran coach, native to Jacksonville Fl, with a rich history in the sport, we are committed to fostering excellence, resilience, and success on and off the field. Shawn previously kicked at Paxon. Currently Coach Thomas serves as the Special Teams Coach at Trinity Academy, one of Florida’s elite football programs, bringing his expertise to a new generation of athletes.

Drawing from Shawn’s experience at Guilford College and North Carolina A&T State, where he trained punters like Alex Grubb with 50-yard punts, Focus Kicking expands its innovative training approach.
Inspired by Shawn’s recent roles at Norfolk State and Trinity Academy, where he developed specialists like Caleb Brickhouse, Focus Kicking launches to empower the next generation of punt and place kickers.
